Antopia depicts a seemingly cheerful utopia inhabited by worker ants and other creatures whose lives are structured around endless labour.

Presented simultaneously across four screens at Shibuya Scramble Crossing as part of DIG SHIBUYA, Antopia unfolds as a continuous loop. Worker ants and other creatures work tirelessly, repeatedly risking their lives within a colourful and seemingly optimistic world. Beneath its cheerful surface, the work considers a condition in which the inhabitants are no longer actively “living” in the city, but merely struggling to continue existing within it.
